Dorothy Dunn (1903-1992) was an art teacher who began her career in New Mexico at the Santo Domingo Pueblo Day School, and in 1932 founded a studio to train contemporary Indian artists at the Santa Fe Indian School. After leaving the Indian School in 1937, she continued to write, lecture, and consult with private and public institutions, such as the Institute of American Indian Arts.
